INVISIBLE WOMEN BOOK
The podcast episode "Invisible Women," hosted by 99% Invisible, highlights the largest data gap in history; failing to collect data on women. The podcast explores how failing to collect data on women and, furthermore, failing to design with them in mind, has negative consequences for economies, healthcare, and our entire society.
This book makes this podcast visual by exploring themes of uncovering, missing data points, and the making of the unseen seen. I accomplished this by half-sheets that cover titles and paragraphs of text, half-toned images that obscure reality, and splitting my page layouts in half to represent half the population missing from the data we collect.
